Dog boarding

All Boarding Dogs will go through the same daily schedule as Daycare Dogs with more activity scheduled to fill the rest of their day. For dogs attending Alder Creek Kennel for boarding purposes, their day will continue with another meal, play time, human time, enrichment, walks, potty time and finally being put to bed for the night.
Boarding dogs will stay in 6'x4' solid wall kennel spaces with infloor heating, AC in the summer and a raised dog bed (coming soon). We also have an alarm system to alert us of any problem with the temperature in the kennels, cameras focused on outdoor play spaces and indoor kennels. Air quality is one of our top priorities and helps us to ensure our doggy guests stay healthy. Dog parents are welcome to bring any items they believe will make their dogs stay even more comfortable.

Pricing and Rules

Boarding: $40 per calendar day (plus tax)
Each new dog must attend a minimum of one daycare day before being allowed to stay for Boarding and two daycare days plus a boarding night for any stay over a week in length. This is to ensure the dog will adjust well to the new surroundings and be fine while you are away.
Please contact us for long stays (over a month) as prices will be reduced.
Dogs must be picked up and dropped off at a scheduled time, times chosen outside of normal work hours will be priced accordingly.
Emergency situations will always be accomodated. Drop Off: 7-10am Pick up: 3-6pm Early drop off and late pick up are available

Important Information

Although all 'people friendly' dogs are invited to stay, we do have some basic rules. Dogs must be properly cared for and groomed to prevent pests from circulating. They must also have all thier vacinations up to date including, Bordetella, Rabies, DAP Vaccine. Due to the proximity of the kennel to wooded land, we highly recommend flea, tick and heartworm prevention. Dogs must be comfortable staying in a kennel on thier own for rest times and respond to basic commands such as 'come' and 'stay'. Lastly, dogs must not be destructive of infrastructure.
What to bring
-Current Certificate Of Vaccination. Dogs will not be allowed to stay without this.
-Your dogs bed/blanket, please launder a week before coming to ensure its clean but still has dogs smell on it.
-Your dogs favorite toy. -Food and treats, clearly labeled with your dogs name -A properly fitting collar and leash.
-If your dog has any medication or special requirements then please bring them and ensure we are clear on dosages and schedules.

Extras
At Alder Creek Kennel, your dog may be treated to a variety of extra services. Some may be added to your dogs day as a surprise and you also have the ability to purchase them at any time.

Alder Creek Kennel uses a combination of positive reinforcment, science based, relationship based, and alpha based training to correct unwanted behaviours and encourage wanted ones.
