Our program goes beyond basic obedience training, our goal is to train your dog to remain calm and responsive to command's in any environment. Along with effectively addressing behavioural issues as needed. This is a program tailored to the needs of you and your dog.

Why Choose a Board and Train?

A board and train program provides your dog with focused, consistent training from professionals, making it effective for tackling specific behavior issues or advanced obedience. It's a time-efficient option for busy owners, offering a structured environment that helps reset problematic behaviors. Trainers tailor the program to your dog's needs, ensuring consistent progress, and the change of setting can minimize distractions while also challenging with controlled distractions. Additionally, your dog can benefit from supervised socialization with other dogs, improving overall behavior and confidence.

Process

Step one: Reach out to Alder Creek Kennel or Essuubi K9 to talk about the program, pricing, schedule, expectations Step two: Schedule and attend a consultation with Trainer Janelle Step three: Make a booking account with Alder Creek Kennel, answer questions and upload your dogs vaccination records Step four: We will schedule your training program as a Daycare & Train or a Board & Train Step five: Bring your dog to training for agreed program and see the results. Learn how to reinforce the training at home with a personalized guide. Final step: Have final meeting with Trainer Janelle to review and learn about all your dog has learned
What to bring
-Current Certificate Of Vaccination. Dogs will not be allowed to stay without this.
-Your dogs bed/blanket, please launder a week before coming to ensure its clean but still has dogs smell on it.
-Your dogs favorite toy.
-Food and treats, clearly labeled with your dogs name.
-A properly fitting collar and leash, prong collar, e collar (anything you use with your dog)
-If your dog has any medication or special requirements then please bring them and ensure we are clear on dosages and schedules.

Pricing
Day Train: $155 per day Monday, Wednesday and Friday Board & Train: $160 per training day, $40 per boarding day.
What your dog will gain
Your dog will gain improved obedience, better socialization skills, and behavioural modification. The program also builds your dog's confidence and helps establish good habits, making them more adaptable and well-behaved.
Dog Handling Methods
We believe there are many effective ways to train a dog, but we've found the best long-term results come from balancing positive reinforcement to increase desired behaviours with appropriate corrections to reduce unwanted behaviours. We tailor our program and methods to the dog's individual needs and temperament, aiming to build a well-behaved and confident dog. Your dog's safety and health, including their emotional well-being, is our top priority at all times.

Janelle of Essuubi K9- Trainer

2021: Janelle began her dog training journey by joining the Watch My 6 Service Dogs' Mentorship Program, gaining foundational skills in service dog training.

2022: She earned her certification from Watch My 6 Service Dogs, specializing in public access training and task-specific training for service dogs.

2023: Promoted to Head Trainer at Watch My 6 Service Dogs, Janelle took on the responsibility of mentoring new trainers and overseeing training programs. Janelle continues to passionately volunteers her time as Head Trainer today.

2024: Completed Grassroots K9's Trainer Program, focusing on advanced behavior modification and cutting-edge training techniques.

Ongoing: Janelle remains dedicated to lifelong learning, continuously seeking to enhance her skills and knowledge in dog training.
